The Friends of Foothill Family is a philanthropic group of more than 100 amazing women from Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, La Cañada and surrounding areas who dedicate time, energy, and resources to Foothill Family.

The group was founded in 2000 by civic leaders Lori Winters Samuels and Shannon Seiter Williamson. The Friends of Foothill Family plan and coordinate Foothill Family's annual benefit, which has raised more than $2 million for Foothill Family since 2001, as well as participate in the agency’s Backpacks for Brighter Futures program during the summer and the annual Holiday Program in the fall and winter.

Friends of Foothill Family events are social in nature and meaningful in purpose. Many gatherings are open to non-members who are welcome to attend and learn about Foothill Family. Some events are free, while others are ticketed fundraisers for the organization.
